Camberley Heath - 21st March 2005

The first event of the year was held at Camberley Heath. Fantastic food, great weather (as long as you discount the finishing in the dark bit!) and some good golf all made for a very enjoyable day, and a very good start to the 2005 golfing season. Last year's Order of Merit winner, Harry Greenway, got his campaign off to a flyer by winning the morning round - Finbar O'Keeffe claimed the honours in the afternoon.

Salisbury & South Wilts - 19th April 2005

This year's event at Salisbury somehow managed to avoid the rain & storms that seemingly peppered everywhere except the golf course. In fact we enjoyed bright sun almost all day! Finbar O'Keeffe enjoyed the day more than most, winning both the morning and afternoon rounds, the longest drive competition, and scooping the only 2 of the day as well! He has now won 3 out of 4 rounds so far this year; handicap slash anyone? :)

The outing to Stoneham this year was somewhat damp, with rain almost all day. But the course was in it's usual good condition and we all enjoyed the day despite the drenching! James Dunlop was the only player in the morning who managed a decent score, but the scoring improved in the afternoon - with Neil Durant holding off Chris Rogers to win (and retain) the Ibraville Trophy only on countback.

Calcot Park - 15th June 2005

Only 9 hardy souls braved the wind and rain at Calcot Park this year, although the weather was actually quite good for the afternoon round. In the morning the weather and the course conspired to restrict the scoring somewhat, with Bill Peach winning the NSPCC Putter with 30 points. The afternoon was dominated by Chris Rogers, with his score of 39 points blitzing the field (about time he put it all together too!). Well done!

Hayling Island - 20th July 2005

Our first 'go' at a proper links golf course proved a bit too tricky for all of us! Strong winds, fast greens, blind shots, gorse bushes a-plenty and a few other hazards aside :) Although we all struggled to score it was certainly a very good day - the fine food and excellent clubhouse were a bonus. Neil Durant won the trophy in the afternoon with 31 points - Howard Allan had won in the morning with 33 points.
